For Windows 95 customers:
Three Easy Steps to Configure Your SBIS Dialer

To change the phone number that your computer dials to connect to Southwestern Bell Internet Services (SBIS), simply follow these three easy steps:

  1. Double click the My Computer icon. Double click the Dial-Up Networking folder.
  2. With the right mouse button, click on the Connection Icon you wish to change. Choose the Properties menu item.
  3. Enter the new phone number in the Area Code and Telephone Number fields. Press OK.

If your area code has changed, follow these steps:

  1. Double click the My Computer icon. Double click the Dial-Up Networking folder.
  2. Double click on the Connection Icon you wish to change. Press the Dial Properties button.
  3. Enter the new area code you will be dialing from in The area code is box.
    • If you are calling from work, you may need to enter a 9 or other number in the For outside line access, dial box.
    • If you have call waiting, click on the disable call waiting box and type *70. Once you have entered in the new area code, click the OK button.
